The new project, which started in 2008, was orientated towards giving help to the orphans and particularly vulnerable children between the ages of 3 to 10 years old.

The adhesion to the project entails the yearly payment of Euro 360 for each child supported.

The first gest is the monthly supply of a food packet containing: maize, sugar, seed oil, beans and dried fish. The 'packet' is more than sufficient for one child but it should be born in mind that he/she is not the only beneficiary and if the pack was limited to the amount for a single child it would not receive enough on which to survive. The children are also given clothing, medical care and their schooling is one of the principal objectives.

This service done seriously, as we intend to do it, is very committing and for the moment we are thinking of an initial phase orientated towards 50 children chosen out of those which are in the most dramatic situations.

For the moment the group is comprised of 35 members and already there has been correspondence, perhaps just a drawing, between the children and their supporter 'parents'.

At a later date, when the system has passed the initial stages, we hope to increase the number of children who receive assistance.
