PAMO o.n.l.u.s.’s strategy and consequently that of the Zambian Helpers Society, foresees the help for the creation of economical activities capable of snowballing a development process that betters the living conditions of the population.
Obviously due to the size of PAMO/Zambian helpers Society it is only possible to work in a limited territory helping the growth of small craftsman activities.
Within the hospital complex a Woman’s Club has been encouraged. Helping each other they could develop a profitable craft activity. Our help is to stimulate, to give advice, to offer assistance for selling the products and to give a modest financial help in the form of a small loan to cover the expenses of purchasing the basic material too start the activity.
We boast of three groups for a total of thirty women. Two groups are making knitted garments and the third have started a small chicken-breeding unit.

We have shipped a knitting machine which was much appreciated. We are also looking for hand or pedal sewing machines, not electric since there is no electric power in the villages. If anyone has one in good working order please let us know.
